Metro Corridor of Noida-Greater Noida undergoing trial runs: Great news for Sector 150

It is no secret that metro connectivity in real estate markets affects the residential and commercial prospects of property as commuting gets easier and valuations of a property improve. The property market in Noida has been one such success story over the last two years where there has been visible growth around Greater Noida West and Noida Expressway. Leading this growth story has been sector 150 in Noida.

Now there is one more reason that will add to this growth. Metro connectivity is now live and the first trial run on the Noida-Greater Noida route just took place. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) started the first test run on the Noida-Greater Noida line on January 4 2018. This means that once the metro starts ferrying passengers, Sector 149 and Sector 153 will be the nearest metro stations to residents of Sector 150. The trains on the Noida-Greater Noida line will have 4 coaches with a total seating capacity of 186 passengers. The corridor will have a total of 19 train sets.

Sector 150 had always been a preferred location for developers as well as residents because of its strategic proximity to places such as the Shaheed Bhagat Singh Park, Pari Chowk, Formula 1 Race Track, Night Safari, Gautam Budh University, Yamuna Expressway and the Faridabad-Noida-Ghaziabad expressway. Thankfully, now residents of the Noida- Greater Noida corridor have one more way to connect fast with Delhi and adjoining areas.

The 22-km Noida-Greater Noida Expressway is the road link between the two cities. A 30-km Metro stretch was expected to link Sectors 50, 75, 78, 79 and most sectors along the expressway with Greater Noida. Now that the metro is live, this stretch will be a preferred corridor to live and work. It offers exciting residential options in the range of Rs. 4,500 to Rs. 5,000 per sq ft. Prices are also expected to remain stable for some time to come as there is oversupply in this market.

In addition to the connectivity, Sector 150 is also famous as the greenest area in Noida thanks to a whopping 80 % of its total 1100 acres reserved as green cover and only 20 % allowed for construction by the Noida Development Authority.

Given below is the list of metro corridors in Noida and the sectors they will connect.
